Vo Nguyen Giap and Viet Minh.
Vo Nguyen Giap was born in Quang-binh Province, Vietnam, in 1912. He was educated at the University of Hanoi where he gained a doctorate in economics. After leaving university, he taught history in Hanoi. He later joined the Communist Party and took part in several demonstrations against French rule in Vietnam.
The Vietnam Doc Lap Dong Minh (Vietnam Independence League), or Viet Minh as it would become known to the world, was a Communist front organization founded by Ho Chi Minh in 1941 to organize resistance against French colonial rule and occupying Japanese forces. But The Viet Minh against French colonial like the First Indochina War. Vo Nguyen Giap was leadership of Viet Minh and they were success at Battle of Dien Bien Phu.
